The department of Electrical Engineering offers courses in the field of electrical machines, power systems, electronics, instrumentation, control systems, reliability and systems Engg. and microprocessor .It will not be out of place to mention that emphasis has changed with time from high current to low current and keeping the demand of time, the course contents are getting inclined to Electronics besides Electrical Machines and power system. The curriculum provides in-depth study that prepares the students to state of the art Engg. and industrial practice. The department has to its credit an Indian patent of an automatic Electrical item developed by Dr. K. Patralekh, a brilliant alumnus and HOD of Electrical engineering.
